Description:

Rummy 500, also known as Persian Rummy, Pinochle Rummy, or simply 500 Rum, is a well-known card game popular among players worldwide. It shares similarities with traditional Rummy, yet it stands out by allowing players to draw more than just the upcard from the discard pile.

According to the standard rules of Rummy 500, points are earned for melded cards while points are deducted for unmelded cards (referred to as deadwood) that remain in a player's hand when another player goes out.

Game Rules:
<ul>
<li>The game accommodates 2-4 players.</li>
<li>Played with one deck containing jokers.</li>
<li>Each player receives 7 cards.</li>
<li>The objective is to be the first to reach 500 points.</li>
<li>In case multiple players reach the goal, the highest scorer wins.</li>
<li>Players must create sets and sequences based on specific criteria for scoring.</li>
<li>Gameplay involves drawing a card to start a turn and discarding to end it.</li>
<li>Players can also lay down a meld or add to an existing meld during their turn (referred to as building).</li>
<li>Jokers act as wild cards and can substitute for any other card in a set or sequence.</li>
<li>Cards picked from the discard pile must be used immediately to be valid for play.</li>
<li>Penalties apply for certain cards in hand at the end of a round.</li>
<li>Each game comprises rounds with scores progressively added until a player reaches or exceeds 500 points to win.</li>
<li>In case of a tie, a playoff determines the winner.</li>
